National Coffee Day

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010
Today, September 29th, is National Coffee Day! How are you celebrating? I’m going to be making one of my favorite coffee shop drinks at home, a Café Florentine. Simply add Breve Crème Dark Chocolate Cream to your favorite cup of coffee.  That’s right, it’s that easy; a Café Florentine is basically a mixture of coffee and hot chocolate. A bit of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup finishes it off.  I figure using CoffeeHouse Inspirations flavors lets you make delicious drinks at home for a fraction of the coffee shop price – pretty much making it National Coffee Day all year long. Enjoy!

For the last days of Summer.

Here’s a good recipe to try while it’s still warm out.  Coffee cooler creamsicles.

Just mix together your favorite coffee with a good helping of Coffeehouse Inspirations Breve Crème Blends and pour that mixture into a popsicle mold.   A few hours later you will have a delicious, frozen afternoon pick me up for the last of these hot summer days.

Streamlining your morning coffee routine.

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Now that the kids are back in school let’s talk about a few ways to streamline the coffee process for the morning rush.

- Measure and grind coffee the night before.

-Prep and clean coffeemaker the night before.

-You can do all of this in one step with a programmable grind and brew coffeemaker.  You fill them up with whole beans and water, set them, and they take care of the rest.

– Or, try the iced coffee brewing method I talked about in an earlier entry.  Nothing is faster than pouring some concentrated coffee over ice and adding some International Delight.

-Just make sure you have everything in place, nothing slows down a process like not being able to find the right tool.
